  1. BOMB THE WISMAR AIRCRAFT FACTORY

  3. Since the Do 335 "Pfeil" was originally 
  4. conceived as a fast bomber, its size and 
  5. weight made it best suited to attacks 
  6. against larger prey, namely Allied 
  7. bombers.  The Pfeil's greatest asset was its 
  8. speed, which would have enabled it to 
  9. make hit and run attacks where the 
  10. Mustangs and Thunderbolts could not 
  11. catch it.  As for dogfighting, the Do 335 
  12. was certainly powerful and fairly well 
  13. armed, but it probably would not have 
  14. been a match for the more agile P-51.

  18. Follow your formation leader to bomb the 
  19. Wismar aircraft factory.  You'll have help 
  20. from a single P-51D escort, but if things 
  21. get tough, the bombers in your formation 
  22. will have to rely on each other for 
  23. covering defensive fire.  You've heard 
  24. reports about a deadly new Luftwaffe 
  25. fighter, the Do 335.  You hope you won't 
  26. see it today, but your intuition tells you 
  27. differently...
